About this nanny job

Hello, we are looking for a nanny (must speak Spanish, with strong spoken English) for a full-time position in lower Manhattan with our family, currently available to start. The full-time role is Monday-Friday, 8am-5:30pm, with a 7am start approximately 4 days per month. We have a 1 year old and 3 year old, and so the nanny should have experience taking care of siblings and managing the growing emotions of toddlers. Responsibilities of the full-time nanny include: pickup / drop off of 3 year old at school, caring for the 1 year old, and at times caring for both children. Also, doing laundry for the kids, some simple cooking for the children throughout the week (for example, on Monday, will cook 4 sweet potatoes, on Tuesday, cook 1 cup of rice, on Wednesday, cook a package of ground beef, etc), washing baby dishes each day and generally helping to keep their play areas neat. Pay is negotiable based on experience. Also, something important to note is several times a year, we rent a home outside of NYC, and so we need someone with the flexibility of staying overnight with us at that home for up to 2 weeks at a time. Can travel home on weekends via train (1.5 hours). We of course pay an overnight fee. We are a 2 parent working household, and so we are looking for someone very reliable, responsible, trustworthy, loving / caring in nature, very patient, and with a warm, kind personality. The ideal candidate is also someone who can firmly set boundaries with little kids and navigate the growing (and at times challenging) relationship of siblings. We pay for trials with prospective nannies to ensure both nanny and family are happy with the work experience.
