About this nanny job

We’re looking for someone to help take care of our newborn baby, starting in mid-October after he’s born. We’re flexible on exact times, ideally we’d like someone for 3-5 hrs in the morning and early afternoon, 3-5 days a week. Starting in late November/early December, we might be interested in increased hours (20-30 hours/week), as we start to go back to work. Your job will primarily be taking care of the baby (and helping us take care of the baby). It’d be great if you could also help us with light housework for the baby (e.g., cleaning his clothes, sterilizing his bottles, etc.). We also have a 3-year-old daughter, who is in preschool. Depending on your hours, you might help us with preschool drop-offs and occasionally looking after our daughter if school is closed. We’d also be happy for you to babysit our daughter a few times in September to get to know us, before the baby is born. We’re looking for someone loving, caring, and responsible, who has experience with babysitting children—it’s okay if you don’t have newborn experience. (For our daughter three years ago, we found someone lovely for a role like this, who was looking for a part-time job for the year after graduating college, and who hadn’t taken care of babies before, and it worked out great.)
