Belmont Family Seeking Childcare Provider The Forster Family is seeking an inclusive, sensitive and energetic childcare worker to support our two elementary aged children throughout the week. The job includes an industry standard contract and payroll service. Our family requires approximately 30 hours per week (part-time help); however, for the right person, we are willing to consider supporting a full-time role. At a minimum, we need help from 12-7 pm Monday – Thursday with availability for babysitting on a weekend when needed. Additional care during school hours may be required on sick days and vacation days. If the position is full time (40 or more hours per week), we will offer a health insurance stipend. Additional household duties will be required for full-time consideration. We live in Belmont and both of our children attend school in Cambridge. We are a creative family that loves to balance education, work and play. We value connection with the children above everything. A college education, a background in early childhood education, an arts background or a therapeutic background would be handy. A background in childcare would also help. The caregiver must have a license, good driving record and a reliable car to arrive at work. If a personal vehicle is used for kid transportation, we will provide reimbursement for gas and mileage. Childcare duties include end-of-day pick-up from school, after-school activity transportation and supervision, homework help, play-date coordination and drop-off, as well as meal preparation. Additional duties include light tidying up of the day’s activities, laundry, emptying dishwasher, and other family supported errands. Requirements: • Availability 12-7 pm Monday-Thursday at a minimum • 3+ years childcare related experience • First aid certified • Valid driver’s license, with clean driving record • Comfortable shopping, preparing, and cooking meals along with meal clean up Responsibilities: • Collecting children from school • Helping with children’s meals, encouraging them to assist with household chores, helping them with reading and writing activities, and supervising them during play • Performing household chores such as sweeping, doing dishes and children's laundry • Additional duties include light tidying up of the day’s activities, emptying dishwasher, dinner and meal preparation, and other family supported errands
