Hi There! Thank you for taking your time to read our post. We are a blended family looking for some afterschool help with our son. He’s age 13 and we think he has ADHD. We’re looking for someone who can pick him up after school and really help him organize himself with his schoolwork and keep track of assignments. He has some challenges with paying attention and we’re not sure how to best help him. We are thinking a constant routine with the same person could be very helpful. We are looking for after school from about 3:15pm till about 7-8pm, until we know what’s working for everyone involved. The general idea would be to pick him up from school, and then grab food if he is hungry. Once he's had some down time, you'd then provide support for school work and review what he needs to have done. You may need to drive him to after school sports or a tutor. He is incredibly active, so the idea is to help him also stay busy in a in a constructive way. Biking, rock climbing, hiking, running, walking the dogs etc. It may take a bit of time to figure out a routine and what works.
