About this nanny job

We are looking for a part-time nanny/sitter for our two children starting the first week in December for the rest of the 2024-2025 school year. We're a young and active family in Sunset Park/Greenwood Heights looking for a compassionate caretaker of two girls ages 9 (4th grade) and 11 (6th grade) for 10 hours weekly. Ideally able to cover no school days including PT conference half days. There is opportunity for additional hours during the week with our work travel and other related work events and commitments. Our younger daughter will need to be picked up from PS32 in Carroll Gardens/Gowanus and either brought home or taken to the occasional sport or other after-school activity. Our older daughter will come home on her own from after-school programs. We're looking for someone who will actively engage with them, help with homework at the 4th and 6th grade level and prepare meals. Someone who loves cooking is preferred- we're trying to expand the girls' tastes! The ideal candidate will be reliable, trustworthy, proactive, engaging and empathetic.
