Seeking a nanny (preferably live-in but open to a visiting nanny) for our Autistic son Colin in Braintree (just fifteen minutes south of Boston). Colin is a kind, gentle, and loving boy. Although he just turned 18, he is more like an adorable five year old in terms of his IQ. When not in school or summer camp, he needs a little extra help with personal care and activities of daily living. He is super easy going and very low maintenance. He is far less work than an infant or toddler. Our ideal nanny would have their own car and could provide transportation for Colin from time to time. Our nanny would spend most of their time caring for Colin in our large 3,000 square foot multi-level home located in a beautiful residential neighborhood just 2 minutes from the highway! If live-in, the nanny would have 24-hour access to our home gym and would have their own bedroom and bathroom. The bedroom has it’s own private entrance and there is plenty of off street parking. We had a very successful placement with a live-in Au Pair for the past two years. Unfortunately, her two year contract expired last month and she returned to Columbia. Because Colin just turned 18, he is no longer eligible for the Au Pair program which is what brings us here! No special training is required to care for Colin but our future nanny will be able to put on their resume that they have experience caring for a special needs person going forward! Compensation negotiable. This is an ideal position for a college student looking to save money on room and board or off campus rent and who is seeking experience in the child care and / or special needs care fields!Nanny job details
