Hi all. We are starting the search for evening/overnight care for our 3.5 and 2 year old. I am beginning a new job in January that will require me to work 3-4 nights a week and my partner travels for work and can be gone up to 6-7 days at a time. Our schedules vary week to week so we are looking for someone who is extremely flexible and reliable. The times could range from as short as 5pm-11pm to as long as 6pm-8am. Some weeks we wouldn’t need any help, and some weeks we may need help 2-4 nights. I get my schedule usually 2 weeks in advance and would know then the nights/lengths we would need care. The kiddos are in daycare (1.5 miles from our home in Woodcroft) during the day and would need to be picked up occasionally on the early evening shifts (usually 5pm). The kids are in bed by 8-8:30, fall asleep easily, and stay asleep until around 6-6:30am. You will have a separate room/bed to sleep on. You’re also more than welcome to stay downstairs and watch TV, rest on the couch, etc. Some light cleaning/cooking would be required. Mostly just dinner and the subsequent cleanup, running the dishwasher in the evening, throwing the dirty clothes into the washer, etc. We need someone INCREDIBLY reliable to be there when they are supposed to be there. For the right candidate with experience, we are willing to pay a guaranteed $1600 a month ($800 every 2 weeks) for 8 nights a month, even if you aren’t needed all 8 nights. Any night over 8 would be at a premium of $250 per night. Start date would be mid January (roughly January 13th), but would love to get you to come to the house a few times before then to meet our family, learn the routine, and become familiar with the space. A sample schedule may look like (but again, varies and some weeks may just be 1-2 nights if at all): Monday: 5pm-11pm (Will need to pick up from daycare) Tuesday: 7pm-2:30am Wednesday: 9pm-8am (May need to drop off at daycare) Thursday: 6pm-8am (May need to drop off at daycare) The nights you are done early you are more than welcome to leave once I get home, or can sleep and leave in the morning. REQUIREMENTS: • CPR Certified • Non smoker • Able to drive kids and usually keep 2 car seats in the car (minimal removal/reinstallation of car seats is preferred) • Able to make simple kids' meals • Maintain car insurance • Must agree to and pass background check • 2-3 references, preferably from previous employers
