Nanny Needed: Full-Time Starting January 2025 for two children! We’re seeking a caring, energetic nanny for our two children: a 3.5-year-old boy and a 1.5-year-old girl. We’re relocating from Southern California to McLean, VA, and need someone to join our family starting January 20, 2025 (trial day the week of January 13). Position Details: • Hours: Guaranteed 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday (8:00 AM–4:00 PM or 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, this will change slightly once I start work). • Duration: January–August 2025, with adjustments based on school schedules. • Pay: $22–$26/hour DOE, with guaranteed pay during family vacations. Responsibilities: • Caring for our 3.5-year-old boy and 1.5-year-old girl. • Driving our son to/from activities (car provided with car seats or we can place car seats for your vehicle). • Planning and leading creative activities like sensory bins, art projects, and building forts (supplies provided). • Light tidying of toys and activity areas. About Us: • Relocation: We’re moving in January and will spend the first month settling in and creating routines. • School Plans: Our son will stay home until fall 2025, when he’ll start school. Our daughter will begin a program around age 2 (fall 2025). • Therapies: Our son attends speech therapy for a slight speech delay (he has met all his goals with speech therapy in the last few months yay! But we will be continuing for at least a few more months) What We’re Looking For: • Experience with young children, especially those with speech delays • A background in childhood education is a plus. • Passion for planning engaging, developmental activities. Additional Notes: • Living Situation: We’ll be living with maternal grandparents. Grandma may occasionally assist with childcare. • Meals: No meal prep required; all food and snacks are provided. Weekend Babysitting: -We’re also looking for a babysitter 1–2 times a month. If you’re only available on weekends, we’d still love to connect. We keep weekday and weekend roles separate to respect our nanny’s personal time.
