About this nanny job

Our longtime nanny is moving and we are looking for someone to care for our two children (3 months old and 2 years old) in our North Raleigh home. We will work as a team to ensure consistency in childrearing and are open to suggestions and feedback. You have the freedom to plan most of the days and take the kids to the library, park, museums, etc. I will be trading off kids with you while still on maternity leave. When I return to work, both kids will be in your care. We may put the oldest in preschool in the fall. Hours: Mon-Thurs 8:30-4:30, 30-35 hours/week Start Date: Late Feb/Early March Duration: 1 year Location: 540/Leesville, candidate can be no more than 30 min away. Must be comfortable with WFH parents. Pay: $24-30/hr based on experience and responsibilities. Paid holidays and 1 PTO day accrued per month. There is potential for higher pay if you take on some cooking or house manager duties. Responsibilities: ● Care of one or two children ● Light housekeeping associated with children (laundry, dishes, picking up toys) ● Light meal prep (cutting fruits and vegetables, etc). ● Occasional errands like picking up milk and dropping off packages Requirements: ● 5+ years nanny experience, including 2+ years with infants ● Near perfect attendance record, we cannot have someone calling out last-minute ● Flexibility with hours. Some days we may need 30 or 60 min longer. Extra help is needed when one of us is traveling for work. ● Reliable transportation ● Clean background check and 2 references ● Non-smoker ● No tagalongs ● OK with cats
