About this nanny job

We are looking for a part time nanny starting around mid February for our baby, who will be 3 months old at that point. 3 days a week (Tues, Weds, Thurs) between the hours of 10am and 6pm (or close to this), though we are flexible on both days of the week and hours. Location: near the Trader Joe's in Chapel Hill Compensated via a W2 payroll system (must be legally authorized to work in the US) Both Mom and Dad work from home and will be home the entire time, so we need someone comfortable with that arrangement. We have 2 cats in the home, and one will be cuddly once she gets used to you! We need someone comfortable with cats and comfortable with them competing for your attention. Responsibilities include diapering, reading stories, encouraging tummy time, taking baby on walks in good weather, and fostering a healthy and nurturing development environment. No specific housework besides tidying up behind yourself each day (toys, dishes, etc). Mom will likely still be breastfeeding, so every time Baby needs to feed, you get a little break :) If we switch to bottles, feeding would also be your responsibility. Candidate must be vaccinated for Covid and flu, nonsmoking (including vaping), certified in and comfortable with infant CPR, have experience with infants 3+ months old, and able to provide references. Ideally we want someone who is open to evolving this relationship as baby grows, e.g., someday we might want to do 4 days a week instead of 3!
