About this nanny job

We are a friendly, flexible and fun family looking for a loving and responsible nanny to help care for our (soon to be) 6-month-old son. I work from home, so I will be home during the day, although out of your way (my husband does not work from home). We need someone who can provide affectionate, attentive and individual care to our baby as he grows. For the right person, you will be an extension of our family, someone our little boy bonds with and who he is eager to be around. Additionally, someone flexible. I occasionally travel for work and my husband works long hours. We may need someone on those days to start earlier and stay later. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: • Someone patient and kind. Who loves babies and is excited about engaging in age-appropriate play to support our son’s development (tummy time, sensory play, reading, music, walks, etc.). He’s a very social, alert and happy baby who thrives on connection! • For now, we are working on naps in the crib, so you must be comfortable with parts (or all) of some naps being contact naps. • A screen-free approach —we want interactive, hands-on engagement with him. • A caregiver who is comfortable with a dog. We have a 3 year old mini bernedoodle (about 50lbs). She will be the first to greet you (and anyone else) at the door, but then relaxes. • Additional duties will include walks with the baby and dog, light housework as it pertains to the baby (occasionally his laundry, picking up toys, cleaning / putting away his bottles, etc). • Compensation is flexible depending upon experiencence and right fit.
