Part-Time Family Assistant (Afternoon Support for Middle Schoolers – School Year + Some Summer Weeks) We’re a kind, busy family in Canyon Creek (NW Austin) looking for a dependable and friendly part-time family assistant to support our two kids (rising 6th and 8th graders) during weekday afternoons. This is a light, steady role focused on homework support, after-school presence, and occasional driving — ideal for someone who enjoys working with independent kids and wants a consistent weekday routine during the school year, with occasional summer help. School Year Responsibilities (Starting August 2025): Be at home Monday–Thursday, 4–6 PM Greet the kids when they get home around 4 PM Help ensure homework is completed and offer academic support as needed Light meal prep or starting dinner is a bonus Occasional drop-off at a sports practice (if it falls within or near the 4–6 PM window) You Are: Dependable, kind, and organized Good with middle schoolers and comfortable supporting homework A safe, responsible driver with a clean record Bonus if you enjoy light meal prep or are open to helping in the kitchen Details: Two kids (6th & 8th grade) Two very easygoing dogs (use a dog door — no care needed) Reliable car required for occasional driving Background check and references requested Start date: Flexible summer availability ideal, but main need begins August 2025 If you’re looking for a consistent, low-stress part-time opportunity with a kind family — we’d love to hear from you!
