Our goal is to support early childhood development through engaging, educational activities and individualized care. We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual who loves working with children and is eager to contribute to our dynamic team. Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Childcare Assistant to join our team and work directly alongside the owner (me) to care for a small group of children. The ideal candidate will be reliable, compassionate, and capable of taking initiative while ensuring the children’s safety and well-being. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in daily activities including feeding, playtime, educational activities, and naptime. - Ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times. - Support the owner in creating a structured and fun environment. - Be capable of independently caring for the children at times when the owner may not be present. - Assist with light housekeeping and maintaining the cleanliness of the childcare area. - Foster a positive and welcoming environment for the children and families. Qualifications: - Previous experience in childcare or working with children is preferred. - Must be motivated, detail-oriented, and able to follow instructions. - Ability to take initiative and work independently when needed. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Must be reliable and dependable. - Ability to provide care with patience, kindness, and empathy. - First Aid/CPR certification required (will provide training forr the right candidate. Schedule: - Varying daily hours, but consistent weekly schedule. - Approximately 30 hours per week. Additional Information: - Assistant may bring their own children to work (subject to approval). - Must be comfortable with a home-based environment and working in a small group setting. - Reliability is a must for this position, as continuity and consistency are key for the children’s well-being.
